Step 1
Please check from a competent astrologer whether or not Yellow Sapphire
suits you. Wearing a gemstone that does not suit you as per your
astrological chart is not recommended. Gemstones bring changes in your
natural energy fields and wearing a non suitable gemstone can be
harmful. Only upon verification of the above, move to Step 2.
Step 2
Buy a Yellow Sapphire on a Thursday during the Shukla Paksha (the
ascending moon cycle). Yellow Sapphire may also be purchased when the
nakshatra (constellation) is Pushya, Punarvasu, Vishakha or Purva
Bhadrapad.
Step 3
The ring should be set in Gold and the stone mounted in open backed ring
such that it can touch the finger that you wear on. The weight of the
Yellow Sapphire should be not be less than 1.5 rattikas. (1 Rattika =
0.9 carats). It is best to get Yellow Sapphire of weight 5, 7, 8,
10, 12, 14 rattikas. Do not wear Yellow Sapphire of 6, 11 or 15
rattikas.
Step 4
Upon receiving the ring, decide on the day to wear it keeping in mind
the rules given in Step 2. The ring should be worn in the early morning.
Step 5
Sit facing East, North or Northeast on a yellow colored asana. Keep the
ring immersed in raw cow’s milk. Then wash it with Ganga – water or
water kept in a copper pot overnight. After it has been washed, keep the
ring on a yellow cloth on which a Jupiter Yantra (numerical yantra may
be used) is drawn with roli.
Step 6
Offer flowers, incense to the yantra and the Yellow Sapphire and chant
the following mantra 108 times:
"Aum Brim Brahaspataye Namah Aum" or Sri Dakshinamoorthy
Stotram or "Om Namah Shivaaya"
