Step 1
Please check from a competent astrologer whether or not Red Coral suits
you. Wearing a gemstone that does not suit you as per your astrological
chart is not recommended. Gemstones bring changes in your natural energy
fields and wearing a non suitable gemstone can be harmful. Only upon
verification of the above, move to Step 2.
Step 2
Buy Red Coral on a Tuesday during the Shukla Paksha (the ascending moon
cycle). If you have problems purchasing a Red Coral on Tuesday, then,
purchase it on a Sunday or a Thursday. Red Coral may also be purchased
when the nakshatra (constellation) is Mrigshira, Chitra, Anuradha or
Dhanishtha. Never buy a Red Coral on a Saturday.
Step 3
The ring should be set in a mixture of Gold and Copper and the stone
mounted in open backed ring such that it can touch the finger that you
wear on. The weight of the Red Coral should be not be less than 6
rattikas. (1 Rattika = 0.9 carats). Try to get Red Coral
that are 9, 11 or 12 rattikas in weight. It should not be 5 or 14
rattikas in weight.
Step 4
Upon receiving the ring, decide on the day to wear it keeping in mind
the rules given in Step 2. The ring should be worn one hour after
sunrise until 11:00 AM.
Step 5
Sit facing East or a Red coloured Asana. Keep the ring immersed in raw
cow’s milk. Then wash it with Ganga – water or water kept in a copper
pot overnight. After it has been washed, keep the ring on a red cloth on
which a Mars Yantra (numerical yantra may be used) is drawn with red
sandalwood, gorochan, saffron or roli.
Step 6
Offer flowers, incense to the yantra and the Red Coral and chant the
following mantra 108 times:
"Aum Bhaum Bhaumaye Namah Aum" or
"Om Sri Sarvanabhavaaya Namah"
Step 7
Wear the ring.
